The Sir Wilfred Brookes Charitable Foundation was established in June 2007 by Mr Clive Heal Brookes (known as Roger Brookes) in honour of his father, Sir Wilfred Brookes. The Foundation has supported various organisations in Victoria, such as Bendigo Art Gallery, Berry Street, Cabrini, Odyssey House, RSPCA, Uniting Care, Emerge Australia, and others. Roger Brookes is the great-grandson of Australia's second prime minister, Alfred Deakin (1856-1919), the grandson of noted Australian philanthropists, Mr. Herbert Robinson Brookes (Herbert Brookes) and Mrs. Ivy Brookes, and the son of a successful business man, Wilfred Brookes.
